Hey all! Sarah here, with a 300-day progress post!

So I have lots and lots to post about with my recent wedding, but I'd really like to get some things out before I start forgetting. It's divided into parts for easy reading.

( Things that were awesome - photobooth, pre-ceremony pictures, friday night time slot, receiving line, sweetheart table, anniversary dance, not throwing my bouquet, non-traditional music, dance lessons and non-floral centerpieces )

We finally got engaged, so my mind is now racing 24 hours a day, trying to plan my perfect wedding!

We have the means to set a fairly high budget but I really don't want to exhaust all our financial resources if I don't have to, as we have 2 children to think of and we would like to buy a house sometime in the near future as well ( Read more... )

I've been trying to narrow down an exact date and am stuck because I'm not sure if my date choice is a bad idea or not. I'd like some input because the FH is just as confused as I am.

Our current anniversary is 3/22 and I would love to keep it such. But it's on a Monday in 2010. Is a Monday wedding a bad idea?

i'm new here so i'm not quite sure how this works but my long time boyfriend (5 years) and i just got engaged. Were only 19 and 20 so were kinda young and haven't been to many weddings at all but since we have been together for 5 years we have always celebrated a "anniversary" on the day we started dating which was september 7 2003. We have gotten the OK to have the church for the day that we wanted (Oct 27, 2009) but now we have to tell them what time. Since the wedding is on a Tuesday (a weird day I know, its family tradition to be married on Oct 27 and Im not breaking 115 years of tradition!)  I am planning on having a evening wedding sometime around 7 or 8. We're trying to decide between Friday and Saturday for the wedding and reception...our wedding ceremony is going to be small and family only (about 15 people), but the reception is going to be about 100 people, some of whom will be flying in from California, Alaska, Arizona, etc. My fear is that people who live out of town will be upset about ( Read more... )
